Our mission is to improve long-term stability of emerging nano-energy materials and their corresponding devices from both chemical and mechanical perspectives. We focus on synthesizing advanced materials, including two-dimensional hybrid organic-inorganic perovskites and metal oxides, which are then used to fabricate devices such as photodetectors, X-ray detectors, light-emitting diodes (LEDs), and systems for solar-to-fuel energy conversion. To better understand and optimize their performance and durability, we employ a variety of advanced analytical and characterization techniques.

The group is currently looking for highly-motivated graduate and undergraduate students.
